UGH!! Why are there no drag radials for a 19x9.5" wheel???

The only ones I can find are the $370 Mickey's, but they require a 10" wide wheel minimum. Am I missing something?

Yes... most 19 inch wheels are like rotaing bricks, 30+ pounds each...
I would go to as low of a diameter as possible if you're buying just straight up slicks. The amount of hp you spend turning the wheel goes down, and so does the price of the slick. Sidewall flex goes and grip go up though :)

Yet there are drag radials for 20" wheels.

Just bigger bricks. :kooky:
I have a set of tsw nurburgings on my car and the manufacturers specs were 19 x 8.5. 21lbs on front and the 19 x 9.5 on back weighs in at 22lbs. But wouldn't you just buy a set of drag wheels to get what you want.

Yeah, I guess I could just buy drag wheels. The point I'm getting at is I'd rather just buy 2 tires instead of 2 wheels and 2 tires. I was hoping to get some insight into why manufacturers don't make tires that fit my current wheels. The rotating brick theory isn't doing it for me.

Well the tire selection for 19s is poor across the board because not too many cars came stock with 19s for a while. Now that they're getting more common we might see more choices.

As far as drag radials and so on, the manufacturers know that if someone really wants to grip off the line, they need a sidewall. Some companies do sell larger wheel applications like stated before but they aren't going to be anywhere near as effective as a 15 or 17 inch application.

Oh and I should also add:frustrated:
Most people who seriously need a drag tire go with the 15" per all the reasons above. I consider both the 17" & 19" to be ******* sizes.

anybody selling drag wheels? I don't track the car enough to warrant buying brand new wheels.
For about $50 each you could go to Summit or Jegs and buy some Bart's steel wheels which are designed for Nascar but will do a nice job of mounting your drag slicks as well, all with being pretty light in the bargain. They've got all kinds of backspacing and width options.

Plus, 1/2 an inch short on your current wheels is hardly an issue preventing you from mounting tires. They'll just protrude a tiny bit more from the wheel edge. I have 10.5" wide 26" BFG drag radials mounted on 7.5" '01 Mustang cast wheels and they sit flat on the road just fine. I'm replacing them with 16"X10" wide bias Hoosiers before this season gets going.

Silver Bullitt Drag Pack (two 17" wheels & two ET Street Tires)
If I could get these to my door with a 28" tire at that price, I'll take em
Several guys run Mickey Thompson ET Streets II (305/35/19) on 19x9.5
