Update on shabu

in the wake of one of americas most Epic showdowns, and in the middle of a giant let down, shabu has been retired to the ford dealer.

i dropped her off thursday.

it is now 2:50 monday.

still no word.

will keep you posted.

thats so stupid man, if you have a scheduled appt for the car to be looked at, and they dont do it, not even 5 hours later, i would talk to a manager, and get that thing looked at RIGHT AWAY.

anyway, i think shabu was just embarrassed that she lost to me...... :happyhapp

So you don't know if the warranty will cover the damage yet?

come on not fair, she was leaking so much coolant i couldent get traction, you know i would have whooped you.

my dad does, he doesnt care though, hes kinda jealous actually, i think once we finish sally, me and him will take a trip down to the track and race sally vs sadie!!

mmm.. i dont remember what happened to shabu?

was some sort of electric problem?

I would be calling to figure out whats going on. I hope everything gets fixed, its no fun to have a mustang thats in the shop.

well alex, ill save you the 20+ pages of epic thread-ness that is the back story

long story short, keith (05horse) came up from ohio to my house for a couple days, during that time, we went to milan raceway, my local drag track to race, it was staged to be an epic battle between two 4.0L mustangs, and epic it was

another long story short, on the championship run, the run that would decide the victor keith launched and then blew something, coolant spilled all over the track, and he coasted to the finish line

i guess a thermostat housing blew and he towed his car back to ohio, fixed that, and now he had problems with huge backfiring whenever he revved, so now its in the shop

and for the record, i beat keith in every race he had!:bigthumbsup

First of all I would like to say that is horrible for Shabu. I hope they get it worked out for you 05 horse. I hope it was a fair race Silverbullit. I new you would win the race, younger reaction times always help. Just kidding guys. I know it was all in fun.:bigthumbsup

Hopefully Shabu will be fixed up and ready to rev and roll really soon. We need to have another epic Shabu/Silver showdown.

well thanks for the story brian you got more energy than me

yea atleast i laid down an rt of .05....... and our closest race was by .10

so atleast with me slingign them 3.73's vs those 4.10s i held my own...for the most part...

please keith, show me where it says our closest race was by a tenth. when i go home im looking at every single time slips. it couldnt have been by a tenth because your best run was 15.1xx and my WORST run was 14.9xx and i highly doubt my worst and your best were the same runs

anyway, i might be able to take shabu, but i do no not see any possible way that sally can beat your TA without a charger.

i mean, i would need H/C/I with slicks and every bolt on imaginable and even then, i dont think i could pull it off, but we will see, maybe i can crack your thermostat housing before the race again......

dont worry bro ima lay in to these 4.10s, when i come up ima tow the stang on my truck ( so i can bring the tools )

i so wish she wouldent have blown we coulda got 30 runs in that night

but i woulda needed gas.

i drove down teh highway in 4th gear, and that whole back road in 3rd.

nope ford warrenty

in all reality ida tore head off looked and put it back together ( knowing thats not what it is ) but i got some good bonding time with the RAM... too bad shes hard on gas.

a whopping 12 H MPG
