My rear end is dying a loud and painful death, so I have decide to drop my stock 7.5 and bolt in an 8.8. I have got the 8.8, are there any other parts or thing that i need for the swap? I'm not sure if i need a pinion flange for the v6 shaft to bolt to the 8.8. Also any tips, hints or advice would be appreciated, I'm planning on using royal purple gear oil any weight ideas?

It should be a direct bolt-in depending on if it came from a Mustang or not.....

i swapped mine to a 8.8 from a 97gt and it was a direct un bolt and re bolt process.

great, i was worried because i've head of people to the cobra pinion flange swap and wasn't sure if i needed it or not.

From what I remember when I did mine, direct swap out.
