waiting for my VIN

Just wondering, if any of you guys ordered your stangs, how long did it take until you received your VIN number? Its been three weeks now and i'm getting to excited for my stang to come, and i heard you can track it once you receive a VIN number.

I ordered my V6 last week and was tooling around the forum when I found Deysha. I gave Deysha the order number like 2 days after the order and it came back with a VIN number and a build week of 1 August. Little hard to believe and none of this has been confirmed by the dealer I ordered it from. I was originally told is would be 2-3 weeks at least until I got a VIN. So either I just got lucky on the order cycle or the news I got from Deysha is not correct. I'm really, really hoping for the former!

You don't find Deysha, Deysha finds you! She approached me when I first joined and posted in this thread:

Took almost three weeks to get my VIN, at least that is when I found out I had one from Deysha. Had my sticker two days later.

And I agree...Deysha is the Oracle...:gringreen

my dealer never gave me an order number i can take a picture of the form he gave me.

Ask your dealer. Give em a call.
However, they may not know what you're talking about. This has been the experience of some people.

The order number for me was 4 digits, 3 numbers and a letter.

I ordered my V6 Performance Package w/ MCA 6/30/2011. Still no Vin. The "Mustang Specialist" told me 3 months until I actually see the car. I'm in Jersey so maybe it takes longer to get here?

Well, your location shouldn't have anything to do with how long it takes to get your VIN.

I was told 6-8 weeks, usually closer to 6.

I would get the order # from them if I were you an politely PM Deysha and ask.

Oracle Deysha :worship will always come thru, just give her time. We all keep her very busy on these forums. For you guys getting VINs after a week or 2, we hate you! Going into week 7 Sat., still not scheduled and NO VIN! The waiting is the hardest part!
