My 2022 10 speed Mach One has the whine. Dealer said it was normal. I think I will just deal with it for a year, have some fun, then sell the car. Unless anyone has a way to fix it. I was going to take the car to my mechanic and have him drop the tranny, replace the transmission oil pump.. see if that help... I do not mind spending the $1400 to figure this out.. Cause its embarrassing

Well, whine or a whining sound could be heard when the car is in park and when driving 0-35 mile per hour, most notable in gear 3 of the 10 speed auto. I believe the whining sound comes from the gear mesh of the transmission fluid pump and the torque converter. From what I have read and understood.

Are you taking about the secret supercharger? Mine whines on cold days and usually goes away once the engine/trans warms up

Without hearing it it's kind of hard to give an opinion. Just go test drive another Mustang 10 speed auto and listen to it. If it also makes that sound then maybe it is normal. Your dealer should have no problem allowing you to do this if they truly feel that it's not a concern. If they object to it then you know they're blowing smoke.
Why would you say that you're ok to spend $1400 to fix a brand new car under warranty? That sounds like a $ flex...

because the dealer won't do it and he hates the noise, if I understood correctly

I think I gleaned that from his post. My comment was about the free willingness to spend a significant amount of $ on something that might very well be a warranty issue. Comparing his car with another car or two with the same trans is an effective way to shove it in the dealers face and get them to ok a warranty repair if the other cars are quiet. Either that or call Ford customer service and complain to them to get it ok'd.
A dealer brushing off a warranty concern is unfortunately not uncommon at all but it certainly doesn't mean that you just mumble "ok" to the service advisor and then go and spend over a grand on repairing it yourself. I guess if the guy has $ to burn then he should just go right ahead. It'll make the dealer happy to not warranty it and his mechanic makes $ too.

I do not mind spending the money to fix an issue that I feel can be fixed. Its more of a 50/50 if your going to have the sound or not. The dealer said it was a normal operational sound that will happen on the 10r80 10 speed. 10R80 10-Speed Automatic Transmission Whine – Blue Oval Trucks For such a cool car, it is an embarrassing sound. If ford will not try and fix it, I have no other choice but to spend the money to fix it or at least try to have it fixed. I am not rich and $1200 - $1500 is a ton of money for an issue that seems unimportant to ford, but important to me.

If by 50/50 you mean that some cars have it and others don't then that's not a norm. That means that 50% have an abnormal sound. I don't recall hearing of this 10 speed issue before you brought this up so I'm thinking that it's not actually all that common at least not with Mustangs.
In any case it doesn't matter what the dealer said as they will often brush people off. Simply test drive another couple Mustangs on their lot to get a baseline to use for your argument. Or just do as crjackson suggested and go to another dealer. The third option is to call Ford customer service and tell them that for the amount of $ that you spent on a premium Mustang model you expect it to sound like a quiet normal car like most of the others out there.

Perhaps your fluid isn’t up to par or even have enough or too much in tranny? For everything, Ford has an elixir to add which is more of a solvent to free anything up (not cavitation of coarse), would if brought up to correct fill level…

This stuff is put together on a pieces per hour (China or Mexico?) Something may of gotten switched or rushed through regarding medium?

^^^ Good job, couldn’t hear whine at all. What caught my attention was exhaust note, wouldn’t change anything there. I still might consider cavitation, meaning gears only half submersed in fluid and engaged. Or air bound may have a fit someplace. Ford probably knows exactly the problem and apparently superficial. The Bosses had the engine tick, never figured out??? Other than 50wt oil too thick.

The Tanaka airbag too, Ford knew before install but tried to get away with all that anyhow.

It's possible it could be the DI pump? On my fusion sport, that thing is CRAZY loud from outside the car when it is cold.
I've complained several times and was told it was normal (I don't remember it being that loud when i first got it though).
I cannot hear it from inside, so I let it ride. Lately it does seem to be getting worse though.

^^^ No, could not pick up any abnormal sound, hearing still pretty good (don't need hearing aids). I would think perhaps sound coming from someplace else as non-directional. I’d look at electric steering drive maybe (or DI??).

Next author could pick right up on though. Listened to again and maybe. Sure it’s not intake air, may have non silenced intake by time ‘22. Mine has silencer and then sound tube to hear intake whine or howl. Nobody particularly likes them.

Wait a minute! You don’t have throttle body spacer on intake? Those will make motor whine, amplify intake. Some Bosses came OEM with them and others not, nobody can answer why either way?

I could hear the whine very clearly but only at the beginning of the video when the car was idling and you were recording outside by the front wheelwell. Your exhaust drowns out a lot of the sound and the inside of the car doesn't pick up sounds from outside that well especially on a recording.
It definitely sounds like a pump though. My Focus has a direct injection pump and it doesn't sound like that at all. It's pretty quiet.
