I have a 2011 V6 pony and I have added the Roush axle back exhaust system already. I am now trying to add a little more HP to my baby, but not real sure which way to go. I have been checking out some of the cold air intake systems, but i am trying to avoid voiding out any warranty!! Any suggestions on things that I can do???

Axelbacks don't increase HP, they are only there for sound. As far as the warranty is concerned, you really cannot do much to the engine to increase the HP without voiding the warranty anymore.

However, some people have installed a CAI (pretty much any CAI but Steeda will work) without a tune and I would say this would be your best bet, as you can install the stock one in about 15 minutes if you have to take your car in.

Also, using premium will gain you about 3ish HP at the peak of the power band if you are really desperate.

Some dealerships go crazy, and will let you mod your car (by letting them do the work) and still upholding the warranty. This is only very select Ford dealerships though, depending on the business owner.

The best thing you would be gears if you didn't buy the Performance Package V6 model, allowing you to put the power you have towards performance instead of gas mileage.

American Muscle showed what a bone stock V6 is capable of, and then changed the gears with a Tune and CAI.

Ask people who swapped from the stock 5.0 gears to 3.73's, they will tell you the car feels much faster. No horsepower gain, just numerical advantage.

I agree with the 3.73 gears statement, will not gain any HP but will feel a difference in performance, because it puts you in the power range faster. My 5.0 pulls like a freight train

Want to keep your warranty? Use Ford Racing products. If not, get a Shelby GT500 Supersnake. ;)

Kristy,
Unfortunately, with EFI vehicles there is no way to get noticeable power without tuning the car. Gears are a great alternative and will give you massive improvement in off-the-line acceleration. However, once you install gears, your speedometer will be slightly off and only a hand-held tuner will be able to calibrate your speedometer for the change in revolutions per-minute of the new gears. You can try to have a Ford dealer do it, but that will be difficult.

There have not been any documented failures in the V6 models and our V6 project car runs like a champ(as you can see in the videos)!

You can run a cold air intake such as this Airaid kit: Airaid Cold Air Intake (11-12 V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! that does not require a computer re-tune, but the most performance gains will be realized only after it is tuned.
