I have a 2006 Mustang w/ 26,000 miles. The car never needed servicing before.

The wrench icon lit up on my dash last month. I saw an online suggestion to disconnect the battery...and I did. It removed that warning light.
Now a month later, the wrench light lit up again yesterday, and today, both the wrench and the engine lights are on, and the car lost alot of pick up

Any ideas what this might indicate?

Thank you.

It indicates you needing to get your ass to an autoparts store to get the codes checked for free! Then find out what they mean ASAP before you damage something that might have been an easy fix... Its pretty much common sense.. get the code for free then look it up or ask someone with a brain what it means then....

Engine lights are just dummy lights=get the f'n code checked....
Nobody could do more than venture a guess right now...

There is no code with the wrench light. You've likely got a throttle body problem and the car is going into failsafe mode which is the reason for the lost power. Take it in!
