I ran fluids through my new 5.o motor the other day, and then I detached a vacuum line from the intake and coolant rushed out. I was told to put new intake gaskets on and I went out and bought them, but I dont see how that will fix the problem...

Intake has coolant passeges. Replace the gaskets!

But how is it getting into the upper intake?

Well now that you mention it could just be a bad gasket at the egr spacer

I put a plate over the place that the egr would be...should I have sealed it with rtv?

That or a egr gasket. However that is just a vacuum leak. The egr spacer has cooling ports so the gasket could be leaking.

it was tons of water, Im going to throw on new intake gaskets just in case...

anyone have torque specs?
