I have water in the bottom left corner of the trunk. No water where the spare is. Its not leaking from the top of the trunk. Not leaking from the side marker light on the bumper. All seals appear to be good. Where is it coming from. Has anyone had this problem before.

Did you check the taillights too?

The corner of the bumper has a liner pin above that area and the hole it goes in is quite a bit larger than it is. I would assume the water that is collected in the trunk galley runs close to that because it's behind the tail light.

I had a leak in the same area a while back. That's where I thought it was coming from, but it was actually coming from above where the tail light pan is pinch welded to the water galley around the trunk. The seam sealer had cracked.

Just to be safe, I put some seam sealer around the liner pin as well.

I hope you get it straightened out. It was a PITA for me to find mine.

only the left corner was wet. For as much water that was in there, it wasn't as wet as it should of been. Could it be coming from underneath somewhere.

Yes it could, you could look under the to check the wiring grommet that go thought to the trunk. It wouldn't be the first time that a grommet wasn't installed correctly.

Well it sounds like an easy fix if it is a gromet. You want to talk about water leaks, my roof caved in from heavy snow. I have a 2 x3 ft hole in my ceiling.Insurance adjuster left and it will be ok in a day or 2.

The best part about a water leak in the winter is all the water in the trunk is now frozen. I had no time to really clean it out. I only took all the carpeting and spare out. Im going to check that grommet, tail light and side marker light. I'll also do a leak test with someone inside the trunk to try and see a visable leak.

OK. I found where the laek was coming from. It was coming from the grommet that holds the harness for the fuel tank. It somehow has dirt embedded in between the lip and the metal of the car. I also checked under the car around the area of leakage and found a bad seal from the factory when they sealed the sheetmetal together. I stripped it and resealed it. I found this leak when I did a leak test with the hose under the car. My buddy was in the car saying it was spraying like a watergun. yeah...

That's how the mafia checks for leaks. :D
Unfortunately, the person in the trunk typically ends up expired due to leaks as well.:happyhapp

Good catch.......I hate water leaks for the reason that they are so darn hard to track down. You didn't happen to take any pictures of the problem area(s) did you? That would be valuable for anyone else who might experience this same problem in the future.
