is there a special took for removing the water pump on a 4.6? have the 4 bolts off now what?

What year? PM me and I will send you the Ford DVD procedure to remove/replace the waterpump on a 2000 4.6L GT. :bigthumbsup

its a 96 its a buddy of mines

According to the Haynes repair manual, 96-04 Mustang 4.6L engines all use a large O ring seal and 4 bolts to hold it to the engine and 4 bolts holding the pulley onto the shaft.

If it sticks once the bolts are removed, it says to take a plastic softblow hammer or place a piece of wood against it and tap the wood with a hammer until it loosens. :bigthumbsup

Yup, that's all there is, they almost always stick, just give it a tap and it should come off.

It's stuck on. Prybar, hammer. Force it off.
