hey guys ...just walked out in the garage and noticed antifreeze on the floor....jacked it up and it is coming from the weephole on the waterpump....i am guessing that means the waterpump is bad....
if so anything else i should do when replacing it you know ...while i got it apart.

yes..when the water comes out the hole it means it is bad!

Might want to flush the radiator while you can.

I agree, good time to replace all the hoses and clamps while you're at it. A water pump is simple to install, you should be done in about an hour to hour and a half.

A little trick I like to do when doing the Waterpump is to trace the new one on a piece of Cardboard and then as I remove Bolts and Studs I stick them in the Cardboard, that way they dont get mixed up when you go to install the new one.

you know i still have not figure out why im not getting any water flow i wonder if my pump is bad cuz with the cap off i cant see the watter flowing out the veins like i should! and this is a pretty new raid out of my 84 5.0 auto so it has tranny cooler line hook ups if i want to cool something but i could see coolant flowing whe it was in it and keept it when i got the new
car then got rid of old so it didnt sit long but has new t stat and lower hose

i was thinking of changing the timing chain while i had it apart but i only have 67000 miles...a new balancer too since the marks are'nt on mine and i can't time it properly...lemme know if i said something stupid as i've never done this kinda work before...only alternators starters and such
