OK . . . its time for my Vert to go on a diet. I weighed in at the track at 3825 pounds with me in it . . and . . yes . . I could lose a few pounds myself . . but . . . how about the car? Mind you, this car is my daily driver. So, I'm not looking for radical stuff like ditching the AC or the power windows. I have been racing it in full street trim and turning mid 12s . . . but I'm betting on 11s if I can drop some poundage.

I have considered the obvious following list:

1. Aftermarket Seats
2. Fiberglass Hood/Fenders/Deck Lid
3. Lighter Wheels (I'm going to get some slicks and skinnies on Drag Lites for the track).

Anybody have any insight on other places I could drop some weight without affecting my daily driver comforts?

Tubular K member, tubular control arms, coil over springs, aluminum driveshaft, rear seat delete, move the battery to the back. Thats pretty much it.

Didnt convertibles during 94-95 come with a 25 lb weight in the fender area?
