Weird sound from my serpentine belt area

I am getting a constant/steady chirping sound from either a pulley or a bearing that is going bad.

I took the belt off, and there was no more chirping sound.

I just changed the belt tensioner pulley, the bearing was bad.

I put a new belt on also.

But it still is there.


Any ideas?

get a stethascope from the parts store and listen to the bearings in all the pullys alt. water ect.

check your cam positioning sensor.. i had that problem while back turned out to be that nasty lil sucker. if it is that n gets worse (which it will overtime) the engine will almost seize. so if its ur daily driver i would check it to be safe.:bigthumbsup
