So, My 2005 GT has been giving me a bit of an issue lately, when at low speeds and sometimes standing still i'll move the steering wheel and The weirdest groan/vibration comes from what seems to be either the steering column and it also vibrates the pedals, Could it be the bearing that goes through the firewall maybe? or is it just transferring the vibration from the R&P? Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated!

I'd suspect the rack and/or pump are failing..
Or air in the pump. It should be evident by listening to the pump under the hood while someone turns the wheel.

It is worth purging the pump of air, and replacing the fluid in the power steering system. I can link you to the procedure to purge the system if you want to go down that path. Just let me know if this is something you want to try.

Good point... Worth trying before replacing parts.

flushed the system today, but no change. I dont think its the pump, theres no noise on the outside of the car when the wheels are turned, it almost sounds like rubber squeaking at a low frequency. the thing that throws me is theres no noise outside and i can feel the vibration in the pedals too!
