Hello everyone, well I'm back after 2 months I still have my 95 gt but I purchased a 92 calypso green notch with full black interior yesterday car has 160km on her and has some minor modifications
Svo tubular upper and lower intake, iron gt40 heads, staggered rockers, #24 injectors with pro M calibrated maf has full mac stainless exhaust, 3.73 gears, king cobra clutch and I'm sure I'm missing a few things
Needs some scuffs fixed but other then that it's solid, I also picked her up for $4500

What does everyone think?

Thanks Jason

Looks good. Certainly a long negotiating process. I also personally like the pony wheels myself.
I'd rather have the ponies than the phone dials.

Thanks man, I live in Ontario Canada and never seen one this colour before locally other then Google images. I know not many people are fond of the calypso green but I personally love it.

The guy I bought it from is the second owner he's had it for 12 years now and never winter driven which I thought was a major plus.

And yeah I love the ponies I think that's going to be my first thing to change
Those 10 holes gotta go.

Jason.

I got lucky when I bought my 92, it already had the ponies on it, I only had to order replacement center caps.

It depends what your plans for the car are. If you want to upgrade to SN95 Brakes then you should probably wait and get 5 lug wheels at that point.

Sn95 brakes
So that would require the spindles off a sn95 caliper brackets calipers and so on?

What about the rear to do the discs? I know I will need axles but will sn rear caliper brackets bolt on to the drum 8.8?

Yeah you pretty much got the basics of it, 94-95 front spindles and out back you have a couple options. You can just grab 94-98 axles, backing plates, calipers, and rotors 94-04. If you want to keep fox length axles then special backing plates are sold, or another option is to grab an entire rear from a 94-98. A few other things need to be done also but you end up with brakes that are night and day difference compared to stock.

I thought the axles In a sn95 were 1/4" wider then foxes so how would the axles work in a Fox rear housing?

I was contemplating on ordering 5 lug Fox axles then getting the brackets calipers and rotors

What's this special backing plate to retain Fox length axles?

The actual rear axle housing is the same width from 1986 - 1998, the axles are longer in 1994-1998. The housing gets wider in 1999- 2004 but the calipers and rotors will still work. If you do a search on the 5 lug conversion you will find those aftermarket baking plates to use Fox Length axles. My car has 94-98 axles and in my opinion looks better with the extra width.

Okay awesome I understand what you mean now

So all in all I can find everything at a wrecking yard

Thanks man I really appreciate it

Did you swap your master cylinder and booster? Or it's not really necessary

Yep you can pretty much get everything in the JY for the conversion, there are a few miscellaneous things I didn't go into detail on. I used 03-04 Cobra Brakes front and rear and upgraded the Booster and Master Cylinder to 1993 Cobra units. My handbrake cables, prop valve came from Ford Racing. If you Google the Ford Racing M2300K kit it will show you a parts list and some instructions and a general idea of what's going on.

I think a lot of guys do the conversion because of all the wheel choices but I did it for the brakes, the car is night and day in driving experience plus I do like the Bullitt wheels too.

Okay perfect well I'll look that up right a list of exactly what I need and go from there,

What is a prop valve if I may ask?

And yeah if you wana go fast you need to stop at some point lol
I personally do like the bullet wheels as well but I don't think they would suit the colour of my car. But that's just me

The Prop valve sets the amount of pressure front to rear. You have to basically disable the stock prop valve and add a manual one where you will set the pressure.
