I ask this because I can find the Coupe weather strip every where
and the Grande one NO WHERE!!! :needahand:
The guys at NPD say there is a difference the guys at Dallas Mustang say NO DIFFERENCE.....:frustrated:

weather strip woes.........

OK, I purchased the rubbers from NPD to go around the door ...
they did NOT FIT PROPERLY..too long. tHEY SAY NO ADHESIVE..
THERES NO WAY...
The roof rail rubbers are also not the same .They are too thin.
The door felt lines are about 1" compared to the original that was 3"
and they are VERY fragile!!!!!!!!
Any one got any tips???????
Can ANYONE streer me to a BETTER PRODUCT?
:needahand: Thank you.....

7 years ago i had a 250 coupe, changed the rubbers but got to glue them (only the ones ariund the doors, around the roof and trunk they fitted, there was a ford license logo on it, don't remember the brand) 2years ago sold it (to slow) and purchased a 351 4v 71 mustang, ad first i tought it was a coupe, checking the vin, YES a real grande!!!! ordreded rubbers for a coupe, fitted, these where no ford license but fittet just like the coupe.
the difference between a coupe and grande is just the number in the vin tag.

You might want to check the seal around the rear window. I had a small gap in the seal around my 66 coupe window and the carpet in front of the back seat was always wet. Even though I caught the leak it eventually rotted the floor boards.
