What are these modules I'm seeing on the internet?

I'm kind of new to this, but I'm pretty sure this is a scam. I've seen these modules that promise rediculous HP and MPG gains, but they're only like $20, whats the deal with these? I'm just curious to hear what these are about.

Haven't seen what you are talking about but as the old adage goes, " If it seems to good to be true, it probably is". The only power module I've seen in 30 years of hot rodding is cash. You want to go faster? How much you wanna pay?

this was a trick that old time racers will do to older car and had marginal results...it does not work well with new cars...
