You can go either way, red, chrome or polish. But if you want to color match the paint, then epoxy coating is the best way. With epoxy coating you don't have to remove any rubber or plastic parts because the items are not heated up like the have to do with powder coating. Plus there is a shop here in San Diego that has one valve cover set of 50-06 and 07-08 valve covers in stock just for epoxy coating. You simply call them with the color codes of your paint, put a deposit for the core and they epoxy coat the covers in stock and send them off to you. When you remove yours you ship them to Hardkore Metal Finishing and your core deposit is returned. The cost will be around $120 plus $15 color matching ( Candy and pearls add $10ea).
