I know nothing about rims however as I was looking for new ones I came across this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FACTORY-FORD-MUSTANG-CHROME-ALLOY-WHEELS-RIMS-16-05_W0QQitemZ8013516340QQcategoryZ33749QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Does "chroming" rims wear off? I see they give a three year warranty however are they going to have to be rechromed. I like the concept because I can keep my wheels and they are not expensive as I am only 16 years old. Please give me some advice. Thanks alot! :worship
If the chrome gets nicked, or not sealed properly, water will get in there and cause it to rust and peel. Because it is a wheel, it is going to suffer more wear and tear. That is if they are chrome plated, it looks like these are alloy which means they would have better resistance to rusting or oxidation then just the plated ones.
