So, I am going to look at this car this weekend. He says good inspection, tires, brakes, and no mechanical problems to his knowledge. Super high miles, though. Just looking for a cheap, decent LX 5.0 to play with.

Nothing wrong with that car, $1500 is a good price for that.

We talked about $1500 Mustangs in another thread recently. Looks ok in those pics but check out the usual trouble spots and go from there. If you can get it road-worthy for a minimum of effort and $ and it's not on its last legs (frame rails, floors, torque boxes etc), go for it.

It looks like it was well maintained on the outside which usually correlates to it being well taken care of mechanically, on the inside. $1500 is a darn good price.

Thats a hell of a deal. 1500 bucks who cares if it has 203K miles pull that motor and put in a stroker and its back down to 0 miles on the motor. Swap in a Tremec Trans conversion 0 miles on tranny and rebuild the rear end and your back to normal on most of the mojor compoments minus suspension

i know alot of people that put rears on their car without the speedometer drive gears on for a while and they rack up miles bad.thats what i did to my car but im not selling. i would do it
