I after many years and attempts am about to buy my Stang. It is a 67 rolling chassis with full body less hood. No engine or tranny but has the rear end. Everything has been gutted and it is ready for a full resto. The previous owner ( before its current one) tried to turn it inot a GT500 clone and sell for a good price. So it has really bad fiberglass on it and needs new panels and floor boards but the torque boxes look good. Minimal body rust and just a little frame rust at the front cross member. Originally a C code 67 mustang. Prices anyone?

Hello. It would be very difficult to come up with a useful figure without actually seeing the car.I'm assuming that it's a fastback since a Shelby clone was in the plan at one time.If the quarters, doors and roof are all ok and the interior is all there, just not in the car,all of the glass is ok,the suspension and steering are ok it could bring as much as 3k.But that is little better than a wild guess without seeing it.It sounds like you might want to keep looking if your intention is to build a car to drive. That one will be a veeeeery expensive project.Hope that helps. :)

Why keep looking? I am in the market for a car I can fully restore. By the way, no nterior is there and it is a fastback. All the glass except for a 2 inch crack in the windshield is fine. Rear quarters would need to be replaced from the idiots attempts at fiberglass. Good frame though.

Well like she said, without pics its hard to price. But, sounds like it should be pretty cheap especially if there are mistakes from a previous owner. That alone should let you work the price down to your likings. Rear panel replacement alone will run you well over 1k. So thats food for thought. To have all the body work on my car done, even after buying all the new skins and body parts, will be around 3.5k for the whole car. That includes all dents, solid reattachment of body to frame, fenderwells, and smoothing of all to ensure its ready for paint and show. So there is a figure for the body work required. From the sound of it, I would not pay over 2k. If you do and have to sell it later, you will not meet what you have put into it.

As odd as it sounds I am not really worried about price. I have a friend who is a sheet metal specialist in the Air Force so I think the price will be fine. Sorry but no pictures are avaiable. The body like I said is in good shape with a small amount of surface rust on the roof from the primer being removed. Just want to replace the fenders because of the mistakes.

well then tell us a price on what they are asking. You are leaving everyone blind here. If they are asking a price range that you are happy with then why ask? Im not trying to sound rude. But, if it is a car you want and feel passionate about, then why worry about price? I got lucky in my car find IMO. I found a 69 coupe with near perf interior and the body work I already explained. Most frown on the coupe, but I like it and set up correctly is just as good looking as a sportroof. But, that is my personal feeling about the car. The second I saw it and got inside it I fell in love with it. If you dont like the car or question it, then maybe thats not the car you need to be putting time into and spending money on.

Nah, your not being rude. I honestly never asked what he wanted for the car. I told him I would research it and see what I could find in the area and get back with him on a price. I'm just curious what people would pay for the car. I like the car, its not in the greatest of condition, but workable.
