What is it about driving an 05 Stang that makes me listen to older rock when I am in it. All the way from Hindrix to Zepplin, Van Halen, Alice in Chains to Pearl Jam?:drink:

Anyone esle got this going on?:strut

It has nothing to do with the driver. It's in the soul of the car.

You got that right! There's nothing like cruisin' down the highway cranking 38 Special "Rockin' Into The Night"!

Also, when I have to drive any one of my other "normal" cars, I end up driving it too hard, cause I'm used to being first off the stoplight!

If you are into a little more current music, try "Black Cat" from Janet Jackson while driving the Stang. Watch out though, you might drive waaay to fast with that song playing!

Sing it Preacher...

There are two cd's that STAY in the player. They are MP3 discs with every Led Zeppelin album released; plus Big Log by Robert Plant (that song is a great cruising tune). Something about those that just sounds RIGHT in this car with the top down. And believe it or not, Tom Petty's Greatest hits stays in there too...not sure why, but it sounds good to cruise to.

'Stones...."Gimme Shelter", "Under My Thumb", and 'Start Me Up":laughlitt seem to get a lot of play. Pretty much always at least one 'Stones disc in.

Then some flippin' back-and-forth between Allman Bros. and The Outlaws.

Everything else I just rotate around through my "stock".

First CD I ever listened to in my Stang is the Bullitt soundtrack...
And this CD is still in my CD changer, in spot # 1...

"OLD" Rock????

That was the purpose of the XM Radio in the new GT. I can listen to what I want, when I want -- also have some "Vintage" CDs in the Shaker if I happen to want something specific or enter one of the rare "DEAD" zones for the satellite. I must say that I like the sound system in the car.
And -- yes -- the soul & spirit of the car seems to require this special kind of music.

only when the radio is on. I just leave it on the classic rock station because I don't know how to program the buttons.

Zep has always been my favorite band but I don't hink I've listened to them much lately...

I just can't find time to listen to anything other then Primus inside Suzie (finally decided to name her).

I need something to drown out the whine of all those damned chains inside the 4.0, and that nasty loud Tremec throw out whirr-clatter.

Definitely a lot of heavy rock (Disturbed, Seether, Godsmack, etc...) as well as older rock (Aerosmith, Metallica, Tom Petty, etc...)

And every once in while, to give the 1000 watt system a little workout, I pump through some old school rap... :)
