My cars stock is 780 i think is what the Diablo Predator said it is. i really dont know why it would be up so high.
maybe a sensor is off causing it to be too low and its compensating... like a ac sensor is making car rev higher when ac compressor isnt on....
600rpm is normal for a 5 speed (may be diff. for an aod). Sometimes folks increase the idle to compensate for other things (cams, big carbs, vacuum advance issues, etc.), or to get a little more engine speed off the mark. A diablo will let you set it where you want it.
