What is the true paint color of the moulding??

Anyone know what the true color of that bleached out greyish moulding found on mid 80's convertible mustangs. Mainly the pieces that go around the top of the body starting from the qtr windows back to the trunk. The sticker on my door jam has a moulding category but it has been boogered beyond recognition. I know this grey color is quite common so if I could get the exact paint color I will be able to paint it myself. The paint shop told me it was black before....uhhhhhh okkk?
