What should i look for?

So i might be buying my girlfriends uncles 1969 ford mustang fastback
It it gutted and stripped of 2 of the quarter panels and all doors hood and deck lid.
Body seems to be in good shape.
He has all the parts with some extras
All doors and deck lids and quarter panels are there just not attatched.
Has a brand new 351w Clevland Stroked and polished
Edelbrock intake.
1 8" rear end
1 9" rear end not attached
C4 Transmission
Power steering setup
All engine and tranmission and gauges and dash and interior are out of the car
What are some things i should look for?
What are some of the inherent problems i could face putting it all back together?
Any idea on how much i could expect to pay?
Is it worth it?
Thanks alot.

Its a old car rust is the biggest problem look everywhere for it.65-70 fastback are pricey 8 grand for a rusted out shell is normal price for one so if you can get it cheaper jump on it.
4500 id done bought it you can sell it for 8 grand or more with out even doing a thing to it.Some people like the Cleveland some like a Windsor. Both can make some power.Only problem i see with a Cleveland is if you want a auto tranny your stuck using a c6.They probably make a adaptor to use a c4 or aod haven't looked. If i was you id buy it now then worry about what engine to use engine is cheap if you don't mind rebuilding one out of a junkyard.
The quarter panels are welded on if you can weld its not hard to fix any rust.On a t5 talk to Modern Driveline - T5 / TREMEC TKO Transmission Conversion - Swap your Ford Mustang, Falcon, Cobra, Hotrod into Overdrive! Performance Parts if you want to save money buy everything but the tranny off him find one in a junkyard and have it built up.Cheapest place i trust for a 9 inch is Rears Axles and Housings
