what springs are on it?
what size cam for gt40 cast heads
Was just wondering what is max lift for these heads and also what would be a good cam for these heads if they were on a stock bottom end out of a 93.Motor consists of a intake, carb, headers full exhaust, full msd ignition, aluminum flywheel, electric fan and 4.10 gears.Any input would be appreciated. Also a ruff idea of how much power the combo should make

stock gt40 cast head springs.
I have aftermarket springs. I will have to check when I get home but I have a TFS-51402000 cam and no problems. Its a light cam but pulls nicely. And I have the GT40P's
According to Ford, those springs are supposed to handle everything except the Z303 cam, which is .552 lift and 290 duration.
I'm thinking based on what you stated, it's around 265-275 engine hp.

so what do you think is the best cam for that set up. Also I am running an edlebrock performer intake, with edlebrock carb and it seems very flat on the top. Was wonderi ng what would be a good carb for this setup also
