Can someone tell me what size rear comes in a 1993 fox body GT? is it a 8, 8.8 or a 9?

It's not an 8" or 9" for sure (unless someone modified the car) (doubtful) so I'm assuming you're asking about stock so I would say it's an 8.8". (My '95 has an 8.8" as stock). I believe yours is an 8.8" also since the last I think the 7.5" were used was in the 1980s cars.
Indeed it is 8.8" , 7.5" is what the 4 cylinders had in fox bodies.
sweet. thanx for your help. i wanna upgrade my rear but i dont have the money to replace the whole axle so that was real important. thanx again!!

I am pretty sure the 7.5 came in the 6 Cylinder Fox Bodies too.
Only V8s from '86 and later got the 8.8" rear. The rest had either the 7.5" or the 6.75" rear

If the '86 was originally a V8 model, it had an 8.8" rear as original equipment. If it wasn't originially a V8 it had a 7.5" rear. But that doesn't mean the rear is original.

The differential housing for each rear is unique. The easiest way to figure out which one you're looking at is by the shape of the differential housing's cover.

A 7.5" rear's differential cover has TWO FLAT SIDES and TWO CURVED SIDES. Here is a gasket:

An 8.8" rear's differential cover has FOUR FLAT SIDES. Hear is a gasket:
