What subwoofers should I get for my 2004 Mustang

I have a 2004 Mustang Convertible and I am looking to buy subs for my car, I would prefer to get the best I could for no more than $350. That includes the amp and I would prefer to get 2 instead of just 1. Unless someone feels that I will get a better buy if I just buy one.

sort of a tight budget but i recommend a
Audioque SDC2.510-D4
AudioQue

and this amp

Alpine MRP-M500 Amp: Mono - Car Amplifiers at Onlinecarstereo.com

You'll need 1 amp per woofer with that get up. Try this set-up jr....

SClass Subwoofers from Memphis Car Audio

And for 1 amp to push both those babies nicely....

Class D MClass Amplifiers from Memphis Car Audio

If you don't like the prices of them, look around there website a bit. They have excellent subs and amps. Or try this place....

Mmats Pro Audio

You can see and hear them both if you search it on you-tube. Hard hittin s**t. I have a MMATS 2000w RMS Class D amp slappin 2 700w RMS AUDIOBAHN 1200Qs. :bigthumbsup

you want 2 subs and an amp for 350? come on...i personally would rather have one good sub rather than two crappy subs if i had to stick to that budget. You are going to buy this once...spend a little money and get something nice.

I think something like an alpine amp and JL sub can be done for just under 400

i recommend onlinecarstereo.com to everyone who asks about buying car stereo stuff. they have the lowest prices ive seen and a wide selection of everything. I also 2 10" subs at 800 watts a pop powerd by a 300 watt amp at 250 watt head unit. i paid $100 for the head unit, $100 for the subs (they were half off and they came with a box) and the amp came with my car :nogrinner but im sure you can get one within your budget. just dont expect to set off any car alarms

Memphis is the **** though. Basically, you pay $1 for every true watt you get. If your paying $2000 for a class D amp, you get 2000RMS watts from that amp. It's worth it. And yes, only 1 amp is really needed. My brother had my MMATS 2000RMS amp pushing 4 15" EXCURSIONS. And another just like it pushing another 4 on the other side. In a Geo Metro Hatch back with no back seat, just 2 walls of subs behind him. Loud as ****.

my mtx it rated 800rms but pushes way more than that. new it was something around 600$

lol if you pay $2000 for a 2000rms amplifier well:laugh: unless you are paying for the name ie zapco or other brands of its nature.

i never said you couldn't run 1 single amp. you said he would need two amps for the sub i linked when i only recommended one amp and one sub.

not with your voltage, that amp does its power at 14.4v not 12v
WARNING: DO NOT purchase Memphis Car Audio stuff online! I made the mistake of doing that once and they, Memphis, wouldn't even talk to me when my amplifier arrived DOA, brand new in the box.:( The first thing they asked was "Where did you purchase it from?" and when I told them where their response was "X is not an authorized dealer of our product, sorry but we can't help you!"

I also had a Memphis Car Audio amplifier that I purchased authorized in 2007 and Memphis replaced it 2x under warranty. After my car was hit and totaled by a drunk driver, I just left the amplifier in there an made his insurance reimburse me for the destroyed amplifier.

2000 watt RMS MMATS Class D amp? I got a deal on this amp from my brother but when it was new, you paid just over $2k. The amp is powerful. The gain is barely up ( just under 1/4) on the 2 subs and it bangs clean at high volume and works my fuse until it blows.( It takes about 3 or 4 months ti'll I have to replace it ) I keep a bag full of them.:D

like i said why pay 2000 for a 2000rms amp can be had for cheap with more power :) if you are blowing fuses you are having deeper issues than you think. prob low voltage

They are 80 amp fuses. I'm afraid to go higher, don't want to blow the subs.

you should run higher fuse so you dont keep blowing them and save yourself some money from buying new 80amp fuses. also set your gains according and you will not have to worry about blowing your subs
