Hello.:) It's also a 66 gas cap. The only things that are unusual about the car, other than that unusually raggedy interior, :gringreen are that someone painted the radiator core support body color instead of black, like it's supposed to be, and, they also painted the the exhaust trim rings body color. They're supposed to be shiny metal. That's the exhaust set-up for a car with the GT package, but I doubt if that car's actually a factory GT. :)

That is a very beat up 1966 Coupe, and I have to say, it is quite interesting how the back is lopsided to the passenger side.

More than likely, this 66 has been wrecked or driven REALLY hard. Being that this car is off unibody construction, some damage has been done. Either that, or one tire has more air in it LOL.

It is a 66 can you get the VIN? It is kind of ratty but it is a manual trans, has the GT style exhust, could be a A or K code hidden away. The interior looks like it has pony seats with standard door panels.:headscratch:

66. Find the VIN. Should be on left front inner fender. If the first number is a 6 -- she's a 66. Rest of vin will identify plant of manufacture, etc. Try mustang decoder online -- you'll get original engine, tranny, etc. Interesting that it has the 69 offset tri bar rather than the pony in corral in the 66 grill - -but that was some customization. Also would be interesting to see if the factory GT rear valance was add on or not -- can't be a real GT if it didn't have an A or K code in 66.

66 for certain. Grill still has mount for the center emblem as it should not have the offset tribar. Not sure if it could be a true GT. more photos??? And VIN #.

This car has been rebuilt at least once, if it is a GT is it missing the brackets in the grill to mount the foglamp bars, the GT gas cap, and someone would have had to convert it to front Drum Brakes. Also notice that the radiator support is painted body color when it should be black, the car was more then likely put together with a GT rear valance when it was repainted. That would also account for the standard door panels and "pony" seats.
