Damn autocorrect, that was meant to be "heya" lol
AM sells the SCT tuners, their tuning department (bama) is pretty dang good, don't listen to the bs about not daily driving the race tune, I have been for a while and I actually prefer that compared to the performance tune, the more responsive the better, bama has a video out right now for the 99-04 V6 on the dyno when they made the tune for it and it gained 10 peak hp&tq through an AUTO!! And that car was bone stockYeah I doubt it'd be worth the dyno trip, besides the CAI and incoming exhaust I'm stock. What about some of the handhelds from AM? or is the SCT better?
Hey Chris, I went back to find that video for him on YouTube about dyno tuning the new edge v6 stang but now it won't show up, not even in my history, have I just completely lost my mind? Would you possibly be able to pull it up on your end? I remember it was about 4-5 minutes long I think...Definitely give the Bama team a call. They research and develop all of their tunes in-house on our Dynojet 224xLC with 9+ company Mustangs and over 30 more Mustangs owned by our staff. We are SCT's highest volume dealer in the world and have the experience to get you the horsepower, torque and driveability that you're looking for!
Give the Bama team a call at the hours/number listed in my signature if you have absolutely any questions, whatsoever. You can check out the videos on the SCT tuner page for 99-04 V6s and customer reviews. You can also check out our YouTube channel playlist for Bama Performance and check out what we've done!
Save your money, go to college, get a good job and then come see us. Aside from minor bolt ons v6 modding can get really expensive fast. Especially when you get bit by the speed bugAlready got me code, should save a bit. Thanks.
@ESG-642T I'm 16 and pulling around 300 a week, so at the moment I'm going a to have a bit of spare cash lying around, minus gas and insurance etc. As for exact numbers, I'm not sure yet, just kind of finding a goal and saving for it one part at a time. First up is new tires, might look into rims while im at it so i can move up to a 18" or 17". Then I'll swap exhaust for a divorced dual setup with flowmaster 44's. But this is all in the future so who knows...
A $400 dollar tune seems a little...excessive. Especially to my parents, who have to approve all my purchases.
Ageed..... Damn money lolAside from minor bolt ons v6 modding can get really expensive fast. Especially when you get bit by the speed bug
