whats wrong with kids??
this afternoon i was at the hobby shop.... im in the military its a place we can take our cars and work on em.,.... so i was changing the rear end fluid from whatever the previous owner had to some nice clean lucas 80w90 when this hid pulls his trans am in ....... he was changing his rear brake pads and i see him struggling and cursing at his car so i go up to him and i say u okay man?? he says i cant get this bolt loose..... i looked and sure as **** he was twisting the wrong way..... so about an hr goes by (waiting for my RTV to start setting) he says what you got done to that? so i told him just a k&n filter, 3.73's, computer chip(diablo), full exhaust minus headers and its lowered 2 inches...... he looked me dead in the face told me his car was bone stock and it would smoke mine........ (now i havent run my car on the 1/4 yet) he tells me he runs 10's ..... i said stock u run 10's?? he said yep..... i said no way..... i walk away fill up my rear end... a few mins later i see him popping the hood.. so i had to get a peak..... it was a V6!!!!!! turns out he put the TA badges on it and thats it..... lol damn kids these days..

And JEB will you stop making fun of guys with big R stickers, I happen to have one, but my R came from factory:yup: and oh yeah, I check out the 05 GT the other day, it was nice but I didnt like the seats. the way I drive ill be all over the place. So I didnt buy it, I guess ill wait for the 07 Shelby.

Don't put all kids in that basket.
I got a 16 year old that could probably teach you some things.
I know he has me.
He is restoring a 64 1/2 Stang right now.
And I mean a full restore. No short cuts or anything.
If it had a bolt or screw it came off (and a lot of welded parts too).
And there are so many body parts replaced you would not believe it.
Some of those parts the experts said couldn't be done.
If you go to Ford Muscle you can see the progress in pics. (user ixtlan there too).
There is hope!!!

I just wanted to give you hope that there are good ones out there.
But I agree with you that there a lot of smack talkers out there.

I'm 13, I know more than you would think
Im 20 almost 21, I have owned a laundry list of cars and gotta say though, young people, not just "kids" do this in general, look back in the member kills, had to show a couple what my old bronco could do... They all learn the same way! 
iam 18 and i had brought my car was i was 16 and i raced peopel liek 5 years older then me and all i do is race the ricers they think that there little 4 banger with an intake and a 5 inch fart can car. they think they run own the streets and they think they run 10's so i race then and rape them . But when i first got my car man o raced everybody and i was racing a 450 hp camaro and we raped me but i allmost crashed at 130 and if i didnt knwo how to drive o rcontrol the car i wouldnt b here right now but every kid knows and learns about racing but Alot of KID crash their car like crazy sux they are stupied and have no common sence but i have too a lot of order crash their car to do idk it all comes down on how u can judge things and handle ur car

Im 20 and I am 100% convinced that the vast majority of my peers at KSU are just like the kid with the Fire chicken in the thread starter. They cant even change their own oil without consulting a freakin plethora of manuals and "how to" books. yet they are convinced that their stock Integra, or RSX will do 200+ mph and run the 1/4 in 11 seconds or better because they are sporting stickers or badges. The vast majority of young people are becoming "sticker" mechanics and have no clue as to how their car actually works, they just know how to put the stickers on so it LOOKS fast.. They just know to put gas in it and turn the key til it starts and release. Thats it.
Only a few I have met at KSU are actually machanically inclined and know the business end of as wrench. Silly kids these days.....

Iam 18 and i had my car for about 2 years and my friends have a civic si a two 95 camaros and a fire chicken and i spent more time on my car then all 4 of them. They think they know everything but they really dont. I did the clutch and tranny and alot of other things to my car that they wouldnt know where to start. They bring there car to the shop and somebody else does it for them . SO they are little girls and cant work on their cars. So thats wut happens when u drive a girls cars. U become a girl!!!
im only 16. ive had a job sence i was 14 working mabye 6 hours a week and saving my money. as of right now i have saved about 2 grand.(towrd my future 1999 or 2000 mustang v6 coupe) i just started a new job and im going to be making alot more money. Im clearly not stuped.
