Ok so I was just on my way home and someone was stopped right on a corner so I stomped on the breaks but when i did the break pedal almost touched the floor and I slowly rolled to a stop. My breaks were like that the rest of the way home and as i was breaking to pull into my house, the parking break light came on and wont go off. when I parked it I noticed that it was leaking fluid so I assume that I blew a line but why the parking light?

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

yeah it sounds like you had a break line go out on you. the light came on because cars have a pressure differental switch. when you blew your brake line there was more pressure in one side of the split system then the other tripping the switch and turning on the light to let you know that you have a problem.

What's wrong with your breaks? You're not taking enough of 'em. :winks :rollgrin:

What's wrong with your brakes? Sounds like your power brakes are out. Make sure the rubber hose that connects the booster to the intake is connected on both ends. If that's intact, then check the master cylinder. :bigthumbsup
