I have a 2012 GT with the Brembo package . Anybody know what the factory torque specs are for these wheels ?
If it's in the manual then I must of missed it .

I believe the proper torque is 98 Ft Lbs for stock wheels.

Yup, 98 (or 100) is what's in the online service manual. Here is a copy/paste from the installation section: (Ford Service Manuals - REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION)

Installation
1.
WARNING:
When a wheel is installed, always remove any corrosion, dirt or foreign material present on the mounting surface of the wheel and the mounting surface of the wheel hub, brake drum or brake disc. Make sure that any fasteners that attach the rotor to the hub are secured so they do not interfere with the mounting surfaces of the wheel. Failure to follow these instructions when installing wheels may result in the wheel nuts loosening and the wheel coming off while the vehicle is in motion, which could result in loss of control, leading to serious injury or death to vehicle occupant(s).
NOTICE:
Make sure to apply a thin coat of anti-seize lubrication only to the interface between the wheel pilot bore and the hub pilot. Do not allow the anti-seize to make contact with the wheel-to-brake disc/drum mounting surface, wheel studs, wheel nuts, brake pads or brake disc friction surfaces or damage to components may occur.
Clean the wheel mounting surfaces and apply a thin coat of anti-seize to the wheel hub pilot surface (wheel only).

2. Install the wheel and tire assembly.

WARNING:
Retighten wheel nuts within 160 km (100 mi) after a wheel is reinstalled. Wheels can loosen after initial tightening. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious injury to vehicle occupant(s).
NOTICE:
Failure to tighten the wheel nuts in a star/cross pattern can result in high brake disc runout, which will speed up the development of brake
roughness, shudder and vibration.
NOTE:
The wheel nut torque specification is for clean, dry wheel stud and wheel nut threads.
Install the 5 wheel nuts by hand.
• Tighten the wheel nuts in a star/cross pattern to 135 Nm (100 lb-ft).

The subject of wheel torque generates a lot of different opinions. Some hand torque by feel, others use an actual gauge to get it exact. Who here actually uses the gauge, and how to do keep it tuned if you do use one?

I have a Snap On torque wrench that I use for lug nuts and a smaller Snap On torque wrench that I use for drain plugs .
I torque everything with a torque wrench if I have the factory specs .
In my younger years I broke way too many bolts off by cranking without one .
Yea I know, I'm anal .

Apparently most torque wrenches are very tough to keep tuned for accuracy. The really high end ones don't seem to have as many problems.

Yea I had the Sears Craftsman torque wrenches and they were crap . I dumped them on a Jeep forum and then bought the American made Snap On .

I would like to own one for a reasonable price if I knew that I didn't need a team of scientists to tune it every couple months. And we put men on the moon but can't master this little widget?

I've been using a gorilla torque wrench for about 6 years. I only use this one for lug torque and it's never failed me yet. As long as you store it the right way and don't twist it off or play with it without actually torquing the lug then it really doesn't need constant calibration. I probably wouldn't use it for very precise torque on an engine--it would be at a real mechanic for that--but for a lug wrench it works great.

The torque wrench I have from Lowes is made by SK tools. Its pretty nice. And much cheaper than the SK branded one.

They have quite a selection of different wrenches. Which one are you using?
I have two:
Micrometer Adjustable ( click ) Metal Handle
#752, 3/8" Adjustable Click, 5-75 ft. lbs
#2503, 1/2" Adjustable click, 30-250 ft. lbs
The big one ( 1/2" ) is for lug nuts and anything big that needs tourqing . I used it alot when working on my Jeeps suspension .
Also my Raptor's lug nuts were 150 ft. lbs .
