Wheel options?

I'm thinking about swapping the stock 17 x 7 s and either getting an aftermarket 17 inch or an 18 inch wheel.. I like the Work Emotion wheels but they are a tad expensive. I'm looking for suggestions, open to styles, colors, but no cheap knockoff brands please. Prefer to not spend a fortune if possible as I will need tires as well and tpms sensors. If I upsize I'd need tires that keep the overall diameter the same so I don't have to recalibrate the speedo. I want to keep the whole package under $1500 if possible but could go a little more. Thanks.

Maybe try some 18" x 10" SVE Drifts from Late Model Restoration and throw some 285's on there that get close to the same outside diameter of you stock tires. You can get all 4 rims for 600 bucks and a good tire will run 200 bucks or more. Like a continental extreme contact DW.

I looked at them, not bad looking, look almost exactly like the TSW Nurburgring model.. and LMR has a staggered 18x9/18x10 with Nitto NT555 tires that is pretty close. tire calculator says I'll be off by -1.2 mph at 60 mph on the speedo which is pretty close.

with a TPMS kit I'd be looking at about $1550 which is pretty decent actually and they'll assemble it before shipping it to me which means when it gets here all I have to do is put it on the car and then spend a week trying to figure out how many times to turn the key and press the brake to sync the tpms up lol.

It's actually a pretty doable price for me and I looked at the tire size and the tires aren't too badly priced. especially considering the backs would be replaced more frequently than the front so I'd only be buying 2 at a time, and the mustang is no longer my daily driver and I only drive it on weekends or just if I feel like it. hmmm.

I went with bright silver RTRs from AM. They run a sale occasionally - got min about 40% off. They are drift style and run a pretty aggressive offset - which I personally like. If your wheels must be 'tucked under,' avoid these - they are out to the edge.

But, they are powder coated and very high quality. I did the 9.5 x 19's and tires that are almost and inch taller than stock (which put me off by 1.1 MPH at 60, which I could live with). Added benefit was filling up my wheel well on my stock PP suspension.

The wider stance and wider tires really flattened out my perf pack handling nicely. The taller sidewall took some harshness out. I couldn't be happier. Keep in mind if you widen your stance as a result, you could end up with a side benefit of much better handling!

To keep the package under $1,500 total, you will be looking at cheap knockoffs for sure. (assuming that includes tires)

You can identify the cheap knockoffs pretty easily -- generally if the price per wheel is about $200 or less, you are looking at a knock-off, made in China at the lowest possible cost . . . . They can be a great value for sure, but if you are disqualifying "cheap knock-offs" then they are disqualified.

Around $350/wheel will get you into a higher quality wheel, such as Forgestars. But that will eat up most of your budget, without tires.

I have more than $1500 that I can spend. I just don't like spending a huge chunk of money all at once but I would for the right wheels if it was a good deal.

so I'm thinking for wheels I can go with Enkei Lusso in black in an 18x9 with +40 offset on all 4 corners with 255/45-18 tire, I'm thinking the Dunlop Direzza DZ102 looks good, or maybe the BF Goodrich G-Force sport comp2.. I had a set of BFG g-force super sports before and they were one of the best everyday tires I've ever had.
It'd be about $1700 for all wheel/tires mounted with tpms sensors shipped to me.

I think this is will be a decent setup, I know the wheel brand is good as they are used OE by a few manufacturers. Just gotta wait and see what's up with my taxes, got a letter saying that my previous employer put wrong info on my W2 and is sending me a new amended one that I'm gonna have to file, hopefully I don't wind up owing the tax man some money :/

I just gave up my 18" stockers and $400 for a set of 19" CS wheels and tires and love the look. Night and day difference. Shop around my friend.
