Wheels out back

Hey guys, I'm fixing to get my car up and running again,(motor and turbo),and I need some help with my tire selection. I'm gonna need a wide tire, so I'm thinking about going with 19,s for the street, on the back, what's the widest tire I can run out back? I need backspacing and all specs and people's input y'all have. Thanks

internet wisdom says the widest tire on the back is 275-285 without having to be real careful about very specific clearance issues

I think you want to maintain the centerline of the wheel in the stock location, adjust the offset as needed to do that with the new width wheels/tires
the offset of the wheels is usually +36mm front and +45mm rear, I would imagine 18's would be a better choice for broader tire selection.

Even with 18s it can be difficult with a staggered set up. I spent a great deal of time looking for the correct tire sizes. Definitely look at availability before you jump into a set of 19s.

Im running 18x305s and they fit perfect. I plan on running a set of 315s once this set gives up but I am also preppared to modify the bump stop plate. And there are guys running 275s up front...
