I'll preface with this: I've never bought custom wheels/tires since this is the first "fun" car I've ever owned. Forgive my ignorance.
So my stock Pirellis are finished and I've been telling myself I'd get new wheels when I killed the stock tires. What I would LIKE to get is 19x10'' Forgestar CF10s on all four corners with 285 width Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3s wrapped on them. From my calculations 285/40/19 would be the closest thing to the same height as my stock 245/45/19 tires. Slightly taller.
With that in mind, my suspension is completely stock. Can these fit without rubbing? I don't currently plan on lowering the car. I know I've read Roush is slightly lowered (1/2''? 1"?) and puts 10 inch wheels on all four corners with 275 width rubber, but I don't know the tire height or if it only works because they use a specific offset with the wheels. If it all comes down to offset, does anyone know what the proper numbers would be in this case? Or is that more of a question for those I buy the wheels from? Which is looking like modbargains at the moment since they have the finish I'm looking for - semigloss black. I'd like the wheels to appear flush or just barely tucked in the wells, but I don't know if that makes them more likely or less likely to scrape on the front.
Any input is appreciated (even if it's just "ask modbargains/forgestar/whoever"). I just want to make sure I get my information correct before dropping $400 per wheel/$300 per tire.
