Where does this part fit?

When I got my '65 coupe I found this part in the luggage boot but can't make out to where it belongs, any help pls?

That is a difficult angle for ID. What material is it made of? Metal? Also, no good scale, how large is it?

It's metal and about 17inches long, has 3 mounting holes.

Hello. :) That goes underneath the driver's side of the hood latch bucket. :)

Thanks a lot Veronica. Mine has an electric fan fitted in front of the radiator (original fan still attached to engine), maybe that's why they removed it, will have a look tomorrow.

Yes, that looks like the vertical grill surround support, I'm thinking.
