Where to Buy Hertz Shelby (?)

Hey all,

You all should all know that I am a dedicated sixxer to the end BUT that does not me that I am not willing to have a nice GT500 in the garage as well...

Seeing as how I do not know how to drive a manual and may or may NOT be learning how to during my 4-years at the Academy, I am hoping my father will want to relive his "childhood" dream of owning a supercar and I was crossing my fingers on him trading up.

Well seeing as how I fly alot from the Philippines, California, and Florida, I have dealt with Hertz on numerous occassions. And on my most RECENT outting I stumbled upon... *drum roll* a Hertz Shelby w/ AUTOMATIC TRANS!!! OMG I just about fainted and drooled over the driver's side door.

So my big question is... Could someone please please please help me find a way to somehow purchase one of Hertz fleet Shelbys off their used line? At this point it'd be within reason to have the vehicle trailer-ed to Texas for pickup by us.

Thank you much if any one could find this out for me.

(I tried to use the Hertz locator for their former Rental car purchases but there were no results in Texas or around my Aunt's zip code in Cali)

There is one in Martin, Tn I saw one day, last week...not sure on the asking price, but next time I head up there I can take a couple pics for ya; as well as find out the asking price. :bigthumbsup
there are two of them on Ebay...of course for what they are asking you could get a 2007+ GT500
I saw a couple on the Hertz used cars website about 3 years ago. They wanted like $50,000 or $55,000 each for them :(
I wouldn't mind buying one, but you know what the renters do to them..... :head_shot:
There are a lot of videos on youtube of people renting them and doing all kinds of crazy stuff with them. If you really want one, I would suggest the one with the lowest miles- the lower the miles, the less burnouts :/ But hey, it's your money! :shigrin

Just want to make clear that you're aware a Hertz Shelby IS NOT a Shelby GT500.

That being said...

Good luck and happy hunting. :bigthumbsup

*P.S. Beware of fakes. Unintentionally, my previous 07 V6 could have EASILY passed for a GT-H to the untrained eye. And it wasn't even black.
