Which S/C kit is best for price?

676 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  JoeStimec
Im interested in supercharging my 04 GT next spring. The two kits im interested in are the Tork Tech and Kenne Bell

Ive found that the tork tech goes for around 4500, but i cant seem to find a price on the kenne bell 2.1 kit.

What would you reccomend? And does anyone know what the kenne bell is worth?

Oh man Kenne Bell alllll the way. Ive read an article of 2 about the Tork Tech but have never meet anyone who has one of those blowers. I love my KB though and have had no problems with it, dig the low end torque and the intimidating scream. $4999 for the intercooled 2.1L kit which pretty much comes with everything ya need. I know every shop varies, but I had mine installed for about $800.
From what I can see, the KB kit does not include an 8 rib belt or injectors etc. The Tork Tech kit was featured in the Feb. Issue of Superfords Magazine. There are dozens of guys on Stangnet who have purchased and installed the kit with awesome results. At 8-9 pounds they are at about 400 rwhp. At 18.5 pounds of boost, a 99 Saleen with good rods and pistons is putting down 590 at the tire with the same kit, bigger lower pullet, smaller upper. Bigger injectors and fuel pumps of course.

My kit included 39lb injectors.
