I was browsing AmericanMuscle's site and noticed they just started selling the Whiteline watts link. I've been looking online for reviews and such, is anyone running this setup? Any feedback?

Vorshlag sells it as well, and are running it on their shop '11 car. You can follow the build of this car on a dedicated thread. Here's the link to the page where they begin discussing this piece:

We've been sending these kits out pretty quickly recently, and everyone who has used it has nothing but awesome things to say about it. Vorshlag is a great example of a shop who has really put it to the test and then done a fantastic write up about it. We have had some high profile Ford drivers (who I cant name right now, unfortunately, but soon!) use the product and LOVE it. If you are going to SEMA you will see our product line on about 3 cars in the Ford booth alone.

If your not gonna be the first guy on the block with the kit, then you should see some pretty good feature articles soon popping up for the product, and we will be making our own videos to show case the product after SEMA as well.

We've loved having it on the car. If you follow the Vorshlag facebook page Terry posted his recent NASA TT event results, breaking the TTS record at ECR and then swapping to the street tires so the Mustang can revert to it weekday mode - a daily driver for his wife!

We're extremely excited to be carrying white line products now. They make a great and reliable product.

The Whiteline Watts Link Rear Suspension allows the axle to move up and down in a true vertical plane keeping it centered under the car, so that your roll center behaves exactly the same in a left hand turn as it does in a right hand turn. This allows for predictable and tune-able handling, perfect for street and track cars. This kit is a true 100% bolt on kit, with no welding required for installation!

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266.

Can you provide any feedback on the LCA's? How has the NVH been since the switch from the stockers?

You might have a little more NVH...you would with any non-stock LCA. What you need to remember is that Whiteline started as a bushing company...I would rate their bushing as the top of any out there.

That's about it. The trade off in NVH is about the same as swapping from cushy all-season tires to ultra high performance tires. Maybe a little less NVH than the stiff tires.

I had Whiteline products on my subie and they were great. I hope this product stands up to that name and value!
That's very encouraging regarding the NVH. I'm not opposed to some, but I don't want to make the mistake I did with my last car.
I just put in BMR upper and lower control arms with poly bushings and I have a little more noise....not really any more vibration or harshness. It's a slight gear whine that I am hoping will get better with an oil change. Definitely worth the noise for how much better the car rides now.

I am looking at doing a watts link also. I am hoping to hear some reviews from some people that have it in DD's...I guess that's my way of saying I'd like to subscribe :)

Whiteline is the best!!!

When I discovered the Whiteline Watts link I started looking for other Whiteline products because it just seemed so ingenious! Below is a list of what I have already ordered, I will review it all once I have it on the car.

1. Whiteline Heavy Duty Adjustable [4-way, SOLID] Front Sway Bar, Note: This is 33 mm solid steel spring! Hollow are 35 mm. This is heavier but it is very low on the chassis and should lower the center of gravity a pinch.

2. Whiteline Heavy Duty Adjustable [4-way] Rear Sway Bar, 27 mm. Most are 25 mm.

3. Whiteline Lower Control Arm Braces Rear Brace, stiffens rear chassis similarly to front tower strut brace. Note: The Watts link is going to add some weight (so more support sounded like a good idea) and this will also help to avoid the transfer of torque forces from the chassis to the Watts link rear differential mounting points.

4. Ford Racing Lower Control Arms, better bushings, stronger part. Note: I intentionally avoided adjustable, too many stories about them un-adjusting themselves! At over $100 for an alignment, no brainer!

I hope to order the Watts link soon, as I want to have it installed when they swap my gears from 3.31 to 3.55. They will also be installing my (5.) JPC Racing Adjustable Upper Control Arm and my (6.) SR Performance Bumpsteer Kit. I think I can get away with installing everything else in 1. thru 4. above without getting an alignment afterward, but there will only be a few days in between my finishing up and then all of the above.

My objectives: Since the world has gone speed bump crazy, I am hoping to avoid lowering springs but still attain a high-performance suspension. In two years I am very likely to supercharge this engine along with a modest performance parts upgrade - still researching cams, lifters, etc. My headers will be on after the suspension is completed (hey MagnaFlow-where is that X-pipe?!?). In between I am putting in the Accel Super Coil On Plug Kit with Pulstar Iridium ef1i-6 plugs, and my BBK 73 mm Throttle Body.

Guess I need to update my profile here very soon! thumbsup3.gif

I've had my Whiteline Watts Link on for one year. Last weekend I ran in a NASA event and when I got under the car, the Center Pivot was broken. I assume this is a warranty item. This was discovered Friday. I started making phone calls to Whiteline and some of their distributors with no luck getting the part so far. I was told by one of the distributors they don't stock component parts. I have yet to hear back from Whiteline. I sure hope they can get me the part ASAP next week. I'll keep you posted. Now I can't drive my car!dissapointed.gif

I've heard of another person hitting a curb in a major way and having that part fail. WL was pretty on top of getting them a new piece, and it's been fine since.
