I drove his accord... its got some pep... but my stang "effortlessly accelerates"

It would be close at the beginning. You have more torque but he is lighter, I'm guessing at about 45mph you will start pulling and at 80 you will be pulling even harder and have him beat by 2-3 car lenghts by 100mph. nice buy low miles not bad. If you want to start off with cheap mods, I would recommend cold air kit, nice true dual exhaust and a programmer. I grew up with a 95 v6 so I know what those mods can do. Right now I have a 2004 mustang that can hang with a 99-04 GT. got anymore questions post them

Unless it's a VTEC, it may be close, but if you powerbrake, and throw on a rear sway bar, you can probably get him .. .

Friend of mine has a 94 accord 4cyl 2.2L manual transmission Non-VTEC w/ebay CAI & front strut brace. We were neck & neck off the line, but as soon as I hit 2nd gear, bye bye Accord :smoke: And then I continued to pull away all the way thru 3rd - stopped there. I tried to take him down previously with traction control off - BAD idea. All I did was fishtail.
I didn't notice the Accord was an Auto, you should be able to take him.
yea... i think ill take him.... his car is fallin apart.... the other day we were lookin at it and his CAI was rubbin on his battery... that cant be good ... so we rigged it up with wire tie's lol

i do have a question about exhaust.... im looking into flowmaster force 2 dual exhaust system that will fit right into my y-pipe... im not sure whether or not this will boost performance or not... heres what it includes:
flanged y-pipe and hardware (i dunno what flanged is)
2.5" outlet- i dunno if this is too big ... i dont wanna lose backpressure
50 series delta flow mufflers
stainless OEM style tips
Force 2 (i dunno)
DOR (i dunno)
Theres also a MAC exhaust that fits the Y-PIPE and thats like 200 bucks cheaper .... it says made with new durablack somethin... with stainless tips... 2.5" also ... which one is better?
The flowmasters look straighter,,, which im sure is better
also, maybe the y-pipe isnt the way to go... maybe H .... gimem an idea of how much it would cost... and if i get an H... can i buy any dual exhaust on the market?
long post... thanks for reading... thanks for any help :eyepoppin

In the past the flows have been better, the MAC had quality issues, which is why the've redesigned the system.

How the current MAC system stacks up? I don't know.
whats durablack????????????:worship
It appears to be an anti-rust compound.
Ha ha... ALRIGHT, I HAVE to post this, since it does kinda help you.

My friend and I decide to race down this street at about midnight one night after work. Hardly anyone uses it, so we figured it'd be safe. FIGURED. He had a 92 Accord, V6 auto, and I have a 99 V6 Mustang manual (notice I said "had"). Well when we raced, we had previously marked a spot that was a 1/4 mile away, and after that we had to IMEDIATELY slow down, cause there was an S-turn ahead. We started off, I let him do the countdown, and we were pretty close through 1st, but when I hit 2nd, I took off on him. After the 1/4 mile, I had him by about 8 car lengths... well he was mad he lost and so he decided to fly by me, disregarding the S-turn. He fishtailed, almost hit an oncoming car, fishtailed back the other way back into our lanes and went backwards into the curb, smashing his new rims, into a light pole, the globe covering the light came down and smashed on his hood, and then the lightpole came down on his car! Straight down the middle... it was the most perfect wreck. At the time I had dual exhaust, and he had an intake.

So therefor, Mustang > Accord.

And sadly to say, my friend, about a year later... has now gotten another Accord, and this past Saturday wrecked it. Luckily it wasn't another lightpole though. Ha ha.
