not to offend anyone that recently bought a glass top for their mustang...because i think they do look pretty cool...but why doesnt ford make these glass tops similair to gm and make them removable tops....i mean i understand the piece of glass is much larger then the removable top corvettes but maybe make it two seperate pieces such a T-tops is there a reason why ford has always been so anti removable tops or what is the reasoning behind that?

They would have to do a lot of frame work since the car is a unibody. They would essentially have to build it as a convertible.
see thats all i need to be told thanks alot!!!....haha as you can see im no engineer :gringreen
I would enjoy seeing a T-top re-released. Sadfully i don't think it would be that appealing in a mustang. Maybe it would fit the Challenger's box style better.
I would love a t-top, but every one I was ever in leaked, and I'm sure they are worse now with age. I think this was the major reason all the manufacture's quit making them. I do think new 'Stangs would look good with them, though.
Corvettes still have t tops dont they? I know they made them as late as 2008.

Corvettes have a targa roof. The whole panel lifts off. I don't think there's been a T-Top Vette since the 1970's. I have an 09 Glassroof and as much as I love it, it would be cool if they would slide open.
You need to get some King Cobra decals on the hood if you put T-Tops on a 2010

Ahh... I guess I didn't really know the difference.

1982 was the last year for a t-top Vette. The targa roof was introduced with the C4 body style 1983/84 and they've used that on the coupes since then.(except for the Z06-no removable roof).:bigthumbsup

You're absolutely right. I forgot that they went up to 1982. :worship
A friend of mine has a Z06 w/a targa top. he has a bunch of Lingenfliter stuff on there. It's a really cool looking 2 seater.
