I FOUND A 98 MUSTANGE THAT IS PERFECT INSIDE BUT TOTALED OUTSIDE AND THEY WILL GIVE ME BOTH FRONT SEATS AND BACK SEAT AND CARPET FOR $300. MY KIDS CAR IS A 2000!!! I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THE FRONT SEATS WILL FIT BUT NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW IF THE BACK SEAT WILL FIT. I DROVE TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP TO ASK THEM THIS QUESTION AND THEY DONT KNOW EITHER. I NEED TO KNOW WILL A 98 BACK SEAT FIT INTO A 2000. CAN'T DRIVE THE 2000 TO TRY THE 98 SEAT IN BECAUSE IT HAS NO SEATS TO DRIVE IT THERE. ONCE I TAKE SEATS FROM JUNK YARD YOU DON'T GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND I AM ALREADY HAVING A HARD TIME JUST RAISING THE 300. SO PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!! :worship
Not that this answers the question, but you may want to reconsider owning a vehicle that kids are bold enough to trash once. They very well may wait 'til you've restored it and trash it again.
I'd be willing to bet that the junk yard, once you've calmly told your story, would allow you to test fit the seat - and accept it back for full refund - if returned within 24 hours. What harm could you cause to a rear seat? It's not like it is an electrical component.
And, wow !! $300 for an eight year old rear seat? Does this yard have no competition? I'd be lookin' to spend $300 for an 8 year old junker - complete vehicle. Street legal movin' junks sell for $1,000 around here.
