Is there enough areodynamic benefit from the cobra r front bumper to spend the money on it :?:

I would say no. Sure it looks cool, but it sits really low to the ground and would scrape on a lot of stuff. I think the only aerodynamic benefit would be in higher speeds that you should only see at a track.

Correct. You will not see any benefit from one unless you are going 100mph+.

thanks, i've had my car 125+ before but its not that often that i do so i guess i will just wait til i have the money to blow i guess

125+ are u ******* serious when i had my v6 the fastest it went was like 115 and then the governator kicks in unless you had it removed i call BS. i just had it removed on the cobra and the fastest ive gone is 140

as far as the bumper goes, not till about 100 or so, will u feal any differance, and same goes with a spoiler/wing. as far as top speed, i went est. 135 or so with the limiter off, under the xcal3 tune. i was driving next to an sti, and he told me i was going 135 when he started to pass me.

im very serious, i was playing with a tiburon on the way to my dads and my speedo peged and i still had it floored, the gps said i was going 130 so plus or minus 2mph would be actual, i dont trust that thing to much but i know its close and if you look under my profile you will see why i can do this, and to the other guy it was pretty flat the whole time we were running.

You might have picked up 15rwhp from those. Hardly enough to get you to 135mph if stock you max out at 118mph especially through an auto-trans.

Haha that was my point. I expected to see a turbo or some nitrous.

for looking under my profile i was talking about the chip as you refered to removing the speed limiter, and im not lying i dont make up stuff like that, yes it took a couple mins to get there but i did, and all that gets more than 15 rwhp

the dang car shifts out of 3rd gear on average between 110-115 with the shift points changed by the chip and it only does that because it doesnt redline 3rd gear, once it gets that far just keep the pedal mashed and hope there isnt a cop around the next bend:heha:, like i said it may not get there fast but it will get there:bigthumbsup

Uh... no it doesn't.
The only things that add power are the CAI (1-2hp) the X-pipe (2-3hp), the catback (3-5hp) and the chip (7-10hp). Added up that is 20hp max at the crank. Add in drive train loss and you will be around 15rwhp.
The headers, TB, coil pack, and wires do nothing for horsepower.
Remember, you do not get "x" horsepower for every part you add. The numbers do not add up. Sure a catback exhaust might get you 10hp on stock car but, on a already modified car it adds less. The more you mod, the less you get for each sequential mod. They do not make all the power themselves. The work with each other to make that power.

It is interesting though that in a stock 5spd you can hit the governed 115mph in 4th gear. Ford was nice enough to give us an entire extra gear to play with:yelpleased:

yeah a 5 speed would be nice to have, quicker accel. and a little lower overdrive, whether anybody belives it or not i did go that fast once and the next time i do run again, if i have a camera man, i'll get a video lol

zanius.. ever try accelerating in 5th(your overdrive gear)? u dont get very far very fast esp with a v6..

Bolt ons don't do much for our 6s, mostly engine work like increased displacement, head work, P/P, and maybe computer tuning beyond just the plug and play stuff. I know exhaust doesn't do crap, just changes the sound. Intake does little, Windstar does a tiny bit more than just a regular CAI. A larger TB only helps if you go F/I. NOS works wonders. Modding 6ers requires a different method than modding 8s... Damnit...lol :grinroll:

Video! :bigthumbsup Will so give you props for a 135MPH video :worshipJust make sure there aren't any cops! Not worth getting busted over :D IMO
