I have a few Hipo Autolite 4100's that i've picked up over the years and am planning to put one on top of my 5.0 block. I'm gonna be running with the vacuum advance duraspark distributor and wanted to know if the carb will act up if i attach the line from the vacuum advance to the carb? Note:These are the manual choke 4100's in which the vacuum advance was blocked off with a brass plug. From what i figure it should work, but i'm not an expert.

I would also think it would work. I believe that those carbs vacuum advance port were plugged because the factory dizzy was a dual point type and didn't require advance.

Try it....the worse that could happen is you would have to put the plug back in....

Like 1966er said, it's worth a try and easy enough to fix if it don't work.
By the way, I am looking for a C4OF-AL, do you happen to have one?

You can also just plug the vacuum advance into maifold vacuum. You can re adjust the idle to the right level and you won't know the difference.
