So i don't like the cowl look, i like the sleek styling of the SVT or MRT 1968 style hood but ive read it might not clear the supercharger. I don't really want to have the RAM Air, i don't want to get any water on the CAI since i DD my car through everything. So can anyone point me in the right direction? I kinda need a new hood after this weekend...

I have a tru fiber ram air hood, the air filter doesnt get wet. The heat extractor vents do let water in on the engine though. You gonna tell us the story on why you "need" a new hood?
don't they have some kind of things that you can stick in the vents to prevent the water from coming in it?
They probably do, I have never looked. I thought about trying to make something but I havent been driving it much so I havent worried about it.
I really just want to know if the SVT style hood/3D carbon one will clear my blower, i love the look of it

yes i would also like to know im in the same boat as this guy.
Come on guys, going to the shop today so I can get estimated, I don't wanna order a hood that won't clear the blower...
I would " ASSUME " that if the stock hood fits over the blower, than I would also " ASSUME " that any aftermarkey hood will work. E-mail rob @ Edelbrock and ask him. He designed it

That is a dangerous word... I am like the OP, I like to be sure before I commit to anything. Although I think it will PROBABLY fit I would like measurements or a commitment from the maker.

I like the '68 style better BTW...

ive decided to keep my stocker and have the corner repaired, thanks for the help guys. It will make it easier and faster in the long run for me to get my pony back on the road. I just don't have the cash to go for that nice 1968 hood that i want, plus in know the fascia i am getting will go with my stock hood and scoop
