I am having a small problem with my 1990 5.0 LX spewing alittle blue smoke on acceleration I currently use 20W50 do to the car's age and it being supercharged. It is not a lot of oil and I don't have engine rebuild plans until next year so I just want to know if a synthetic with rislone ringsealer would elimenate it and also my compression is still pretty good and even on all 8 cylinders.

The Ring Seal will help but it won't cure it. I used the Ring Seal on an engine that just would not let the rings seal and it really reduced the smoking. Then it only smoked when I got on it hard so I made out like that was tire smoke. :shigrin

synthetic would probably cause more smoke as it likes to slip through worn seals but I have heard good things about the ring seal and I am going to try it on the next oil change myself

Well Its still smoking time for a bottom end rebuild.. If only I had the time to do it myself. I'm probable going to just bye a pre assembled block.
