Well damn haha How much do you think I'd get charged for the extra pipping and install? & Can I keep my cats?

If you have them run it just to the back of the cats already on your car not much, I would doubt more than $50 but it really depends on the shops in your area

Should I just get rid of the cats? I'm sure a mechanic who does my inspections that's really close with my mom would pass me

(Also wouldn't that give me a little better sound + little more power?)

You would lose your low end (something you dont want to do on a car that sees a lot of stop and go) but you would gain your power back on the top end, it will sound worse, I makes it more raspy, if you want to change from factory get some high flow cats, good balance of sound and flow

Oh okay thanks. I'll just leave the cats on for now and just have them put the h-pipe on at them. I already ordered em. BTW is there any like reputable muffler shops that I should check for?

Ask some of your car friends where they like, I myself don't really know any national chains, I'm sure there are a couple reputable places in your area

Np, if you can get around emissions i would recommend getting some long tube headers, they make your car sound deeper and perform better, you can get some for like 200 bucks from pacesetter (you know since you saved about 200 from not having to order the H-pipe from AM haha)

Haha, I heard they're a beast 2 put in though that's the only thing I'm scared of. I don't wanna pay $500 to have a shop do it :(

The drivers side is nothing to do, I did it in about an hour, just undo steering shaft to swing it out of the way undo bolt that holds the oil dipstick tube and pull it out (that is the PITA part to do, I undone the master cylinder from plunger and lifted it out of the way to make room, no fluid will come out) the passenger side is another story, that's where you need some help if you cant lift the engine on your own, you can lift it with a floor jack but I didn't trust myself to do all that haha, friend with lift and good tools did it, but the drivers side is a walk in the park, you probably wouldn't have to pay much to do the other side

I did one side was screaming an the other was somewhat quiet, I got lucky though the header was real close to the pipe that was on car already (I cut mid pipe after header was on) so I just put a clamp on it to temp attach header and midpipe, kept it from dragging at least lol still loud

Funny story, when I had passenger side done it wasn't near close to the midpipe so i had to drive to muffler shop to have it welded and it was loud as heck, popped it in neutral whenever I passed a cop (didn't have welder at place of install)

Depends on where you go, if they pull out a ford service manual walk away because they will want 250+
go to someone you know or your family knows, if you get lucky under $100, but ask around in your areas first before you get your hopes up, all shops are different....

So if I get them I should do the driver side myself and have somebody do the pass? & How low do they hang? Like will they scrape?

Unless you got someone to help I wouldn't want to lift motor

The drivers side on the pacesetters hangs a little lower than the passenger side for some reason, but they won't scrap unless your going over a speed bump fast, mine wouldn't scrap if it wasn't for the cats..
