Window regulator adjustment(?)

8584 Views 5 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  RandyStinchcomb
My drivers window rolls up a little to far, it rubs the roof trim just a little. I have seen posts about an adjustment screw on the regulator (?) to adjust the height of the window. Does anybody have a good pic or description of where this screw is, need to adjust the window about 2 RCH's down.

PS I have power windows

Cool, I will check the glass mount when I get the door off.
As far as the in and out adjustment you mean we can adjust how close the glass is to the car when the window is roll up. If so I need some adjustemnt there also which actually help the window rolling up to far issure now that I think about it
Checked the glass last night and the glass has come out of the rear bracket. I also did find the up adjustment but it is not on the motor as you said it is part of the problem that these mustang have with the glass coming out of the rear bracket. The stop on the rear of the glass used the back of the rear bracket as the point of contact to stop the window. This causes a moment on the bracket that probably contributes the glass coming un-glued. Once it has come unglued the stop bracket then causes the bracket to rotate down which in turn pushed the rear of the window up causing it to sit to high and in my case rub the roof trim
OK all done with thinking this week that was to much:hihi:
Got the window glued back I also added a small bolt next to the rivet that holds the glass to the regulator. Hopefully that will keep this from happening again

PS Randy did you ever work at a Ford Delaership in Baton Rouge LA in the mid to late 80's. While I work there, there was a Randy in the parts department that was a mustange fan.
