it is a problem because my aunt got her new infiniti tinted and they asked her if she had the type of windows that open when the door opens and she said no and then they said good cause that would be a problem

Mine was tinted from the factory I believe, so I don't know how they got around that.

I'm sure that if you take it to a window tinting shop, they'll know how to fix it. If not, it might just require you to leave your car there for three days.

It won't be a problem if you take it to a good shop.

When I had mine done, I asked them about it and they said they already had experience with those type windows and what they do in their shop is use a heat gun around that area to get the window film adhesive water whatever to set faster just along that area so that when it goes up and down when opening the door it won't cause a problem.

They also told me not to roll them down for 3-5 days but I waited a week before rolling them down just to be safe but was driving it around later in the day that it was tinted and pretty much 4 days straight after that and did not have any problems, and to this day have not had any problems.

They disconnect the battery to leave the window all the way up and after they're done the window bounce doesn't affect the tint.

i drove my car around the day that i got my tints and had no problem. The window going up and down that hair was no big deal at all.

I just got mine done a couple of weeks ago. As someone has already mentioned, they do take the heat gun at the top where the window would go up and down. He also barely cracked the window so the window wouldnt go up and down when the door is open. I did leave it like that for like 3 days or so. On a side note I'm in sunny Florida and there was no rain in the forecast for days :winks Just take your car there and ask them, I'm sure this wouldnt be their first Mustang :yup:

I paid $169 out the door with a lifetime warranty good at any authorized installer of Lumar tint since that's what the shop used on my car.
